04.  Keeping to budget.

No one likes it when jobs run over budget. But many jobs do just that, and there’s a simple reason – less than perfect preparation.

One of the most common reasons for additional costs are client changes beyond those estimated. Most often this happens because key decision makers haven’t signed off on the brief, concepts or content.

When planning a job, it is important to take the time  to think about who in your organisation should be consulted and consult them before design is commissioned. Feedback at this stage in a process is inexpensive. Feedback two days before print deadline can be costly indeed.
